Official Rule Set 2025

Thank you for your interest in participating in the First
Annual Community Rodeo Poster Contest! Please read the following rules
carefully before submitting your artwork.

RULE #1 - BE NICE! This is meant to be an encouraging community
contest. Let’s cheer each other on!

Eligibility:

The contest is open to any ages 16 and older. Any media is accepted if the
final submission can be made digitally via JPEG, PDF, or PNG.

Artwork Requirements:

Original Work:

All submitted artwork must be the original creation of the
entrant.

No Infringement

Submissions must not infringe upon any trademark,
copyright, or other intellectual property rights of the U.P. Championship
Rodeo, any other group, organization, photographer or artist. If your work
is found to contain any of the above it may result in disqualification.

Appropriate Content

All submissions must be respectful, family-friendly, and
suitable for all ages. Artwork should not include any content that is
obscene, offensive, or promotes violence or illegal activities. The Ottawa
Trading Company reserves the right to disqualify any submission deemed
inappropriate at its sole discretion.

July 11th - 12th, 2025

Location:

Iron River, MI (Michigan)

Poster Specifications:

The winning design will be printed at a size of 18 inches x 24 inches.

The final printed poster will include a small border around the original
artwork. Please take this into consideration when designing your
submission.

A limited number of 50 posters will be printed this year, and all posters will be
signed by the winning artist and stamped (on the back) with the Ottawa
Trading Company’s Annual Rodeo Poster Insignia.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions will be accepted beginning Memorial Day May 29th,2025 at 8am  – June 22rd, 2025 at 11:59pm.

Digital Submission

All entries must be submitted in a digital format as either a JPEG, PDF, or PNG file
and designed with the size specifications (listed below) in mind.

All Submissions will take place via Upload Link Posted on the website and will be shared through social media and QR code!

All submissions will receive a confirmation email stating your submission has been accepted/rejected.

PLEASE NOTE YOUR SUBMISSION WILL ONLY BE REJECTED IF IT DOES NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES. And If time allows a resubmission may be accepted of either a new or edited design.

Let the Community Vote


All Accepted Submissions will be posted to and listed on our website for the community to vote! All Submissions will be annamously posted for voting. Voting will begin June 24th at 8am and go through June 30th at 11:59pm.   1 winner will be selected determined by the highest vote count. In the event of a tie, the remaining contestants will be placed up for an additional 24 hours for a final vote.

Prize
1st - Winning submission will recieve

  • 3 printed Posters for personal use
  • $20 gift certificate
  • Featured as the Winning Entry with 50 Limited posters Printed and sold at Ottawa Trading Company
  • All Profits from the poster sales ( proceeds minus printing cost) will be split between the winning artist
    and a local non – profit of the winners Choice.

Rights and Usage

By submitting an entry, the artist grants Ottawa Trading Company the right to
use the design for promotional purposes, including but not limited to
printing posters, website displays, and social media. Of course, all entrants
retain full rights to their original artwork but by submitting you agree
not to print or sell poster sized images of the current year’s submission Monday
– Monday surrounding the dates of the event. Ottawa Trading Company agrees
not to sell a submitted image in anyway outside of the Monday – Monday surrounding
the event.
