Want to learn how to sew, mend, and actually use a needle and thread? Join me for a hands-on four-part sewing series designed to build your skills one stitch at a time.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or just want to brush up on the basics, we’ll cover practical skills you can take home and use for years to come.

PART ONE — Basic Hand Stitches  ( OCTOBER 8th ) 
 Needles, threads & their different applications
 Essential hand stitches
 How and when to use them
 Getting comfortable with the basics

PART TWO — Buttons & Hems (November 12th) 
 Sewing on different types of buttons
 Basic hemming techniques
 Repairs you can actually use in everyday life

PART THREE — Creative Mending ( December 10th )
 Give your well-loved denim a second life
 Learn creative mending techniques for jeans
 Patches, visible stitches & making repairs part of the story

PART FOUR — Sewing Machine Basics ( January 14th)  
 Getting familiar with your machine
 Threading & basic machine setup
 Understanding stitches and settings
 Basic sewing-machine techniques

 WHEN: 6:30 pm - 8:30 ish Every 2nd Thursday of the month starting October 8th and running throughout the winter
 WHERE: A Bit of Whimsy Boutique — Iron River, WI
 WHO: Ottawa Trading Company + A Bit of Whimsy Boutique

Cost : 20$ per evening and registration will be available directly through A Bit of Whimsy Boutique.

The complete four-part series will be offered twice throughout the winter, weather permitting, so there will be two opportunities to work your way through the entire course. (In order to get through twice we will be offering 2 classes in either January or February - stay tuned for exact details)
